Judging Criteria:

• A three-judge panel will review all videos.
• Robert Hanley acts as umpire and helps answer judges' questions about HVS' criteria and guidelines, as well as the content of our various profit centers.
• Three nominees will compete in each category unless there are less than three entries in a category.
• If there is only one entry in any category, that entry must still meet the criteria and guidelines before the judges can select it as the winner.

Awards Presentation:


• We will announce the three nominees for each category at the President and Founder's Cocktail Party on Wednesday, July 20, 2011
• We will present the winning entries at our Annual Awards Dinner (Black Tie Optional) on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV.
• As we announce each category, we will read the names of the nominees. Our Master of Ceremonies will then open the envelope and read the winner's name. That winner will come up and accept the award. As the winner comes to the stage, we will show a short clip of the winning entry on our big video screen. As most of you know, we give out some great awards and trophies. Start making your acceptance speeches now!

Awards:


• Each winner will be given an opportunity to talk about their video and/or show any appreciation of thanks to whomever.
• Each nominee receives a certificate.
• Each winner receives a "Hanley."*

Rules:


1. You may only submit work that you have produced between May 24, 2010 and May 23, 2011
2. Any work you have done during the contest period may be entered. You don't have to be an HVS studio owner at the time the work was produced.
3. You must enter each entry online.
4. You may submit only one entry for each category.
5. Submissions must be on DVD.
6. Only one entry per DVD. Projects which are submitted for multiple categories, must be submitted on separate DVD's and include a separate entry form for each entry.
7. A completed entry form must accompany each DVD.

9. You may begin sending in entries on or after Tuesday, February 8, 2011.
10. Entries must arrive by Tuesday, May 24, 2011. - No Deadline Extensions This Year..
11. Be sure to include our entry form (which you can print from the online form) with each entry (DVD).
12. Be sure to fill out each entry form completely online.
13. Please provide some background information about each entry.


• What part did you shoot, edit, write, etc.?
• How much or how little creative input did you put into the project?
• What was the selling price of the project? (if possible)
• What aspects of the project did you have no control over?

• Order of the photos.
• Bad sound.
• Questionable video quality.

This information helps the judges understand more about the project.

NOTE: PLEASE only send the segment to be judged NOT the entire production. These short video clips will help speed up the judging process.
