As president and CEO of Home Video Studio, I have many tasks. I must wear many hats. I like these hats and don’t mind switching from one hat to another, or just piling them all on at once if need be. For a good deal of last week at NAB, I was wearing my "new equipment hat". If you like video gear, cameras, lighting, computers, software, etc., then you would like NAB 2008, the annual convention for anyone and everyone with an interest in video. If you were at the show last week, you saw a lot of cool stuff, acres of video equipment. What was not to like?

Most of us drool over anything tech. Most of us, meaning almost anyone reading this blog, nearly everyone who was at NAB, and those of you who want to start your own video business, or expand the one you have. I include myself in the drooling category with one noted exception. I can turn the drooling on and off. I can and do take the emotion out of the high-tech, super-cool new computer and video equipment. It’s not the equipment. It’s what we teach you to do with the equipment.
I can go out today, with a ten-year-old camcorder, store-bought software and a little drive and determination and make tons of money with video. You see it is not the equipment that makes the difference. It is what you do with it. And that is not to say that means how great you are or how creative you are. Creative people and creative video people are a dime a dozen (have I used that clichÈ yet?). What HVS teaches is making money with video. To do that it helps to have the best darn equipment package in the industry and that is one of the things we offer. It’s also why our packages start at $100,000.00 plus. It takes just a bit of gear to start up a Home Video Studio! Well equipped? Yes. Well equipped to make a business out of video. Absolutely!

Let’s chat about it. Call my cell: 866-714-1956.
