Each year at the Annual Getaway Gala this phrase is spoken thiry-three times - once for each category of video excellence. And each year the category finalists wait with bated breath to hear their name. Could it be Best Short Video? Best Photokeepsake? Best Use of Music? One never knows, but one thing we do know - you have to enter to win!
The Hanley Awards have been the highlight of the week for ten years at our Annual Getaway. Being an award-winning studio is good for business, and there's nothing like the thrill of submitting your best work to hone your skill as a video professional.
Home Video Studio Announces 12th Annual Advanced Training dates and schedule.
Home Video Studio's 12th Annual Advanced Training will be Sunday February 27 through Saturday March 1. Studio owners from all over the world will be in Indianapolis learning ways to move their business forward with for a week of intense technical and marketing training. This year we have over fifty classes and events taking place over the course of seven days, with over twenty presenters and instructors contributing.
So what's happening this year? The same as always plus more! Some or our traditions go back to our first Advanced Training, including "Pizza and a Movie Night" and our "Celebration Dinner." Other traditions are newer (the unofficial game night) but are becoming a beloved part of this great week.
A partial list of our classes include: Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Video Production, Green Screen, Networking, Sales, Marketing, Photoshop for Video, Soundtrack, Motion, Sports Video, Corporate Videos, Weddings, HDSLR Production, Photo Books and Social Media. And let's not forget the camaraderie that's shared by like-minded owners as they discuss issues and methods among themselves.

Home Video Studio Opens 6th Studio Store in Corpus Christi, Texas!
Congratulations to our new Home Video Studio Owners Alan and Kim Fon! Alan and Kim opened a brand new store in a strip mall at 1023 State Highway 361, Suite F in Port Aransas Texas. Alan and Kim have hit the ground running having attended Basic Training in Indianapolis and they are already taking orders for several of the profit centers their studio provides. Of particular pride is the greenscreen studio in their business.

The good people of Southside Indianapolis will soon have a place to take all their video needs as Darrell Day opens up his storefront studio in Greenwood. No stranger to Home Video Studio Darrell has been a contributor to HVS for many years, an employee for a couple years, and now wants to take his knowledge and expertise to the marketplace by serving Greenwood area residents with his very own business.
