Nutley, NJ) He is one of Home Video Studio's earliest members, installed in the fall of 2001 (as A C Video Services), and now we recognize his many achievements as our Studio Owner of the Month. Andy Conte, owner of Home Video Studio, Nutley, operates his studio from his home in Nutley, New Jersey. Andy delivered an entertaining and informative Keynote Address to Home Video Studio's Advanced Training attendees in Indianapolis in March 2009. During his talk (available at www.myhomevideostudio.com), Andy recounted his love for video and film production and his decision to join the HVS family of studio owners.

"I had been teaching and coaching at the high school level for about twenty years," Andy recalled. "Then, after seeing an early release of Apple's I-Movie software, I talked my principal into buying two of the first I-Macs. I was excited to be able to edit video on a computer since I had grown up in the video business editing film and video tape." What Andy discovered was that as the school began giving him many projects to produce, he began thinking about how he could make additional income if he had his own studio at home.

"I bought my own computer and began picking up outside work to do at night and on weekends. The more I did, the more I knew I wanted to be in the video business." So, after seeing an HVS ad and talking with Robert Hanley (HVS Founder and CEO), Andy flew to Indianapolis for a "Show 'N Tell" presentation. "I fell in love with the sense of family and camaraderie at Home Video Studio. I signed up immediately and by 2003, I went full-time in the business, leaving behind a 25-year teaching career. It was a big step, but by '03, I had the business going quite well."

Indeed! In his first full year in business Andy won the coveted "Rising Star" Award. He has gone on to become one of Home Video Studio's most successful owners, even doing installations for the company and renovating his home to create a more "customer-friendly" atmosphere for his clients. "I've seen amazing changes in the video business over the years," Andy adds. "But one thing has remained constant: the commitment of Robert and his home office staff to each owner's success!"

Andy's commitment to the business is typical of most HVS franchisees. His passion for working with people, his outgoing personality, and his creativity in production and editing all combine to make him the perfect example of Studio Owner of the Month. Congratulations Andy!
